Eric Yee


Eric started his Martial Arts training in Shotokan Karate in 1993 at the YMCA. After earning his Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) in Shotokan Karate-do from Master Yutaka Yaguchi. Eric became interested in other forms of Martial Arts, so in 1998 he began training under Sensei William Chung in Kobudo. He then earned his Shodan from Soke Seiko Suzuki, a student of Shinken Taira Kobudo (the father of Ryukyu Kobudo).

Eric’s interest in Kobudo continued to grow and he began to train in the Tesshinkan system under Soke Hidemi Tamayose. In 2006, Eric was awarded his Shodan in Ryukyu Kobudo Tesshinkan from Soke Hidemi Tamayose. Currently, Eric is also currently training and teaching with Sensei William Chung in Ryukyu Kobudo Shimbukan Kobudo.

Some of Eric's competitive accomplishments are:

• 2002 Fall Provincials Kobudo - Silver Medalist
• 2002 Spring Provincials Kobudo - Gold Medalist
